ComeOn is a breath of fresh air in the online gambling industry. They’re one of the rare sites using a modern design approach which, I’m sure, appeals to their target markets in Scandinavia as well as customers from the UK. ComeOn prohibits customers from the US, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Turkey.
The company is fairly new to the online gambling business, having started in 2008 under Malta’s jurisdiction, although it’s obviously racked some years under its belt already. Now that I think of it, we rarely review sites younger than ComeOn!, probably because you need to see how a site treats its customers for consistent period of time. To make it as an online gambling site, you need to provide years and years of consistently honest and high-quality service to get us to write about you. (We wish some of the other informational gambling sites followed the same principles – when dealing with real money, it’s better to be safe than sorry.)
You might assume that ComeOn is diving deeper into the UK market by agreeing to a sponsorship deal with Liverpool – however, the sponsorship is mainly used to promote ComeOn! to Liverpool’s Scandinavian fanbase, which is quite significant considering that John Arne Riise (Norway) and Sami Hyypia (Finland) were important first-team players within the Liverpool squad, and both were in the starting line-up when Liverpool won the Champions League in 2005.
Banking Options
ComeOn! has all the basic deposit and withdrawal options that you might expect from a popular gambling site (credit/debit cards, Neteller, Skrill, online bank transfers, etc.).
The noteworthy details? You have to pay a 5% fee for Neteller, Skrill and Paysafecard transactions and there’s a minimum deposit limit of 10€.
Sportsbook
You can bet on 25 different sports at ComeOn! Sports. Football (soccer) is the most thoroughly represented with around 50 countries (along with their premier leagues and divisions) to bet on around the world.
The game selection won’t leave you disappointed but the odds are on the expensive side. It’s doubtful that you’ll find great deals at this sportsbook (for the best odds, we recommend two not-so-heavily marketed sites: Pinnacle Sports and 5Dimes).
Casino
ComeOn! Casino offers games from several casino software providers such as NetEntertainment, Playtech and Microgaming (those three providers are my personal favorites, by the way). Microgaming, with its Mega Moolah, Dark Knight and Mega Fortune games, offers the biggest progressive jackpots on the internet; NetEnt, in my humble opinion, has the highest-quality games (for both desktop and mobile). It’s a great package and I would be surprised if you had complaints about the quality of ComeOn Casino’s game selection.
The casino game selection is huge: 9 blackjack games, 15 roulette games, 13 table games, almost 500 slot machines, 14 video poker games, 5 scratch tickets, and 12 special games. You could play a different game every day for the next year-and-a-half, and they’re just going to keep making new games on top of their current selection.
If you like to play casino games with a live dealer, ComeOn Casino offers you roulette, blackjack, casino holdem, three-card poker and baccarat. I was surprised to see that many live dealer games in their selection since I never thought that live dealer games would be popular in Scandinavia.
You’ll get the same bonus for their casino and sportsbook although with different terms. The bonus is 100% up to 25€ and comes with a 6x wagering requirement (deposit+bonus) for the sportsbook (you also have to clear the bonus by making combo bets with a minimum of 2 selections and the combo bet needs to have the minimum odds of 2.0) and a 35x wagering requirement (deposit+bonus) for the casino.
It’s interesting to see how ComeOn’s bonus terms have changed during the past couple of years: the size of the bonus has remained the same, but they’ve increased the minimum wagering requirement from 3x to 6x, and simultaneously decreased the minimum combination bet odds from 2.25 to 2.0.
Poker
Weirdly, ComeOn Poker is a part of the Horizon network (formerly known as Cake Gaming network). The network has a poor reputation in the online poker world and it accepts U.S. players which means ComeOn has had to get a separate gaming license from the jurisdiction of Curacao (Malta doesn’t license sites to operate within the U.S.).
Their sportsbook and casino prohibit players from the US but for some reason they’ve considered it necessary to join a poker network that does accept US customers.
Furthermore, that poker network is below top-30 poker networks in the world (traffic-wise) so there are several better options available if you insist on being in the US market, and even more if you’re satisfied with operating outside of the US market.
When Horizon was still called Cake Gaming, they had plenty of problems with withdrawals (circa 2013), and ComeOn’s poker customers got their share of the problems. We strongly recommend against playing poker at ComeOn even if you’re going to use their sportsbook and casino games.
Customer Support
While ComeOn’s website design is aesthetically pleasing, it took me a while to find out how to contact their customer support. The little green button on the right with a speech bubble icon is difficult to recognize in the midst of all the other green elements (most of which are much bigger). Another design mistake is the lack of a page that showcases their deposit and withdrawal options. You have to register to see them – or at least I was unable to find them without registering. Thirdly, there’s no information about a poker deposit bonus even though the Rewards page mentions ”extra bonuses” – I wish they’d expand on this topic.
Their ”Why Choose Us” page claims superior support with ”support agents available 7 days a week via live chat or e-mail.” (There’s no telephone number you can call to, by the way.) Well, I just launched the live chat application on Thursday at 10:53AM in Finland’s timezone (GMT+2) and there are no support agents available. That doesn’t automatically make ComeOn’s customer support bad – not all online betting sites have chat customer service to begin with – but if you’re going to claim to be there 7 days week, be there 7 days a week.
